PREP MATERIAL FOR FULLY FUNDED KOREA SCHOLARSHIPS 2020

Do you Dream or Plan to Study in One of the Top Ranked Universities in the World for Masters/ MPhil, Masters leading to PhD or PhD in Every Field/ Major on Fully funded Scholarships. Then, Seoul National University (SNU), South Korea must be in your consideration.

SNU will open its application dates from 09 March, 2020 to 26 March, 2020

There are some fully funded scholarships, you can apply for. But for all of them you need SNU's relevant professor consent to apply. It is not asking for any acceptance letters but professor should agree to accept you in his /her lab for Masters/ MPhil or PhD or MS leading to PhD.

So main funding schemes are

1) Silk Road Scholarship

For Social Sciences & Humanities Students only. Two years duration full funding (Tuition Fee +  Monthly Stipend)

You can do Masters/ MPhil on it. If you do PhD, then after two years duration of PhD, you have to ask SNU professor to support you, which SNU professors normally support by their own research funding. You have to contact and get consent of professor that he /she will accept you as his/her research student in lab before you apply for it

2) GSFS(Graduate Scholarship for Excellent Foreign Students)

For students in specific fields. It will be announced soon. Keep on checking SNU notices. It covers Masters, PhD or MAS leading to PhD. But duration varies from program to program. If duration of funding is less than duration of your degree. The rest of the funding will be given by the professor by his/her own research fund. Which normally SNU's professors give you. You have to contact and get consent of professor that he /she will accept you as his/her research student in lab before you apply for it

3) KGSP (Korean Govt. Scholarship Program)

You can get nominated for KGSP through university side application. SNU has already shared its KGSP procedures. You have to contact and get consent of relevant professor that he /she will accept you as his/her research student in lab before you apply for it

4) Professor Scholarships

In SNU, professors have huge funding from Korean Industries due to top university in the World. Professors normally pay student Tuition Fee+ Stipend from research funds given by industries, if they find a best candidate for their labs. Now, as in all above 03 cases, you have to contact professors, contact them in such a good way that when you apply for above scholarships. If you get them, then that is good. But rest of duration after the duration of scholarship,  will be covered by the Professor money. Also if you get failed to get any scholarship, then professor may fund your studies, if he/she really feels that you are the best candidate for his/her lab
